Tusker FC favourites for team awards in SOYA awards

Sportpesa Premier League champions Tusker FC lead the way on the list of nominees gunning for the team of the year award, during the 13th edition of the Sports Personality of the Year Awards, SOYA, set for 19th Jan at the KICC.
After bagging two titles in the 2016 season; the Sportpesa Premier League title and the GOTV shield, Tusker FC were nominated in the team of the year category alongside the National Sevens rugby team which won their maiden leg in Singapore.
Other teams nominated for the best team award are Nzoia Sugar, who gained promotion to the Sportpesa Premier League and the National 15s rugby team.
In the team of the year women’s category, Harambee Starlets will be fighting for the top prize against continental hockey queens Telkom Orange who won their 19th league title and defended their continental title over the weekend.
Others nominated include the Roll Ball national team and Kenya Ports Authority basketball team.
