Tusker FC coach blasts referee

By Richard Munga

Tusker FC head coach Paul Nkata has blasted referee Andrew Juma for the way he handled their Sportpesa Premier league match against Ushuru FC on Sunday at Nyayo national stadium.

Tusker’s pursuit for an eleventh Kenyan Premier League title took yet another hit after settling for a one all draw with Ushuru in a dull Round 24 match, as Ebrimma Sanneh opened the scoring for Ushuru in the 18th minute with a well taken penalty before Allan Wanga equalised for the brewers in the 37th minute.

Speaking after the match, Nkata was far from pleased with the former FIFA referee and went further to question referee Juma’s integrity.

However, Ushuru FC head coach Ken Kenyatta was happy with his team settled for the draw with Tusker to end a bad streak that had seen the team go without a point in the last five matches in the Sportpesa Premier League.

Kenyatta was also pleased with Sanneh’s performance as the striker played his first match since leaving Nairobi City Stars at the end of the 2015 season, and he feels the striker will get better with the coming games.
