Auditor General Edward Ouko fights back

The embattled Auditor General Edward Ouko now wants the National Assembly’s Finance Committee to stop investigating the abuse of office allegations leveled against him until a case he filed at the court is heard and determined.

Ouko denies claims that his decision to move to court was aimed at blocking the Finance Committee from investigating the matter.

Ouko claims the Finance committee is bent on removing him from office at all costs.

Ouko spoke at a time the Speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi is this afternoon expected to give a directive as to whether or not the Benjamin Langat committee will continue with its probe against Ouko in the light of orders issued by the courts.
