Kenya to host 2018 Africa Nations Championship

Kenya’s fears of being overlooked to host the 2018 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN), have been laid to rest.
This comes after CAF first Vice president Suketu Patel’s assurance of the tournament taking place in the country despite four of the stadia inspected failing to meet the required standards of staging matches in a continental tournament.
CAF first Vice-President Suketu Patel, who led CAF delegation said they will prepare a report on what they have seen and release it in 10 days which will assist Kenya to host the continental showpiece.
On his part Sporst Cs Dr Hassan Wario has guaranteed the Local Organising Committee that the Government would give them total backing with Kshs 2.7 Billion having already been allocated for the event,with the money set to be distributed in two instalments.
FKF President Nick Mwendwa said 4 out of the 5 venues inspected will host the tournament.
The tournament is expected to run from the 11th of January to 2nd February next year.
