A 12 year old boy has been rescued from the hands of kidnappers in a hostel in Juja town.
The boy was taken to Nairobi Women Hospital for examination and treatment.
Police say they managed to arrest two university students who kidnapped the boy.
They further say the kidnappers Levis Oduor, 21 and Edwin Otieno Ogolla 22, are both students at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and relatives of the boy.
The boy is identified as Wallace Rabudi, a pupil at St. Nicholas School on Ngong road. According to the police, Rabudi was picked by his kidnappers from Funguo estate in Nairobi West on December 4th.
Nairobi DCI Nicholas Kamwende says the kidnappers made several calls from a hideout in Nairobi’s Kawangware estate to confuse investigations.
They demanded 500,000 shillings ransom.
