Over 250 County Executive Committee members have endorsed a plan to move to court to demand a salary increment.

Committee chair Anthony Njaramba says County Executive Committee members pay is not commensurate with their workload as well as their qualifications.

The committee is accusing the Salaries and Remuneration Commission of allegedly refusing to harmonize their salaries with those of other public servants of similar job cadre.

Speaking during a retreat organized by the Kenya Private Sector Alliance, Members of the CEC says its members are the most qualified and most educated public servants in the devolved units and their salaries must reflect the same.

The County Government officials and KEPSA members supports the proposed Anti-Bribery Bill that was recently presented to President Uhuru Kenyatta, saying it will greatly strengthen the fight against corruption in the country.
