KRA intercepts 221.5kg of bhang, 566 grams of heroine

The Kenya Revenue Authority and Administration police officers have intercepted bhang and heroin worth over shs. 2million in two separate incidents at Namanga and Nairobi.
At the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, officials from the KRA and other government agencies attached to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport foiled the exportation of 566 grams of heroin valued at Ksh 1.7 Million.
The substance which was concealed in story books was destined for China.
At Olmanie, Namanga, Customs and Administration Police officers intercepted 221.5 kilograms of bhang valued at Ksh443, 000.
The officers acting on a tip-off raided Manyattas in the area which were allegedly being used as storage for the illegal substance which would later be transported to Nairobi and its environs.
The bhang was handed over to the police for further investigations.
