Tusker FC held to a draw in 1st CAF champions league fixture

Sportpesa premier league champions Tusker Fc, were held to a one all draw by visitors AS Port Louis 2000 of Mauritius in the preliminary round, first leg match of the Africa Champions league played Saturday at the Moi International Sports center Kasarani.
The brewers were leading 1-0 by the end of the first half, but the visitors were rejuvenated in the second half and managed to level the score line.
Tusker Fc now needs to win the second leg match that will be played next week by 1-0 so as to book a date with Al Hilal of Sudan in the first round next month.
Meanwhile Ulinzi Stars coach Benjamin Nyangweso has slammed the assistant referee following the team’s 1-0 loss against Libya’s Al Benghazi in the Caf Confederations Cup match Friday evening.
Nyangweso said that the goal was scored from an offside position.
Ulinzi now needs a 2-0 score in the second leg so as to advance to the next round when the two sides face each next week.
