More than 5, 000 residents of Samburu County benefit from free medical services

More than 5, 000 residents of Samburu County had every reason to smile after benefiting  from free medical services that were offered by Albedo Della Vita, a local non-governmental organization.

The free medical services were offered at Maralal’s chief’s camp.

The residents received free medical services at a time they have been lamenting over untold agony especially occasioned by the ongoing Doctor’s strike.

The anguished residents who turned up in their numbers to be attended to during the medical camp that was held at the Chief’s office inMarala, lamented that the ongoing Doctor’s strike has exposed them to untold suffering.

Peter Lerume, a resident of Shabaa village expressed gratitude over the provision of the free services that also targeted school going children.

The initiative by Albedo Della Vita, a local NGO in partnership with Beyond Zero saw more than 5,000 people benefit from the free health services.

The organization’s manager Daniel Lesaigor says Health education, HIV testing and counseling, immunization and mass de-worming were among the services offered during the initiative.
