20-20 series within reach for Kenyan cricket team

Kenya  Cricket team today revived their hopes of featuring in the finals of the four nations 20 20 cricket Series  after beating Uganda by seven wickets with 25 balls remaining at the Nairobi Gymkhana Grounds in Nairobi.

The national side lost to Saudi Arabia by 39 runs in their second match will qualify for finals if they beat Qatar tomorrow in their third game.

The Steve Tikolo-tutored Ugandan side lost their second match to Saudi Arabia by 31 runs on Monday.

Saudi Arabia now tops the series standings on six points after beating Qatar by 36 runs in their third match at the Jaffrey Sports club while Kenya and Qatar tie in the second place on three points.

Uganda who has lost her matches is last with no points.

Saudi Arabia will now face Qatar or Kenya in the finals this Friday at the Jaffery grounds in Nairobi.

Kenya is using the championship to prepare for the forthcoming World League Division two championship set for next month against hosts, Hong Kong.
